Benefits of waterproof flooring

Waterproof flooring options are tile, luxury vinyl (LVF), and now this, which is an even more advanced version of LVF. It offers the highest level of protection and, as an example, someone came home after months, only to find a dishwasher flood. While we can't know for sure when it happened, we know that he just had to wipe his floor, and it was fine. Read on to see how waterproof floors can impact both your home and your life!

Waterproof vs. water-resistant

Before we talk about the benefits, you need to understand what you are getting. Waterproof means impervious to liquid, generally from bottom to top, meaning that it can be submerged, such as in an appliance flood or spilled on. Water-resistant means that a product will repel liquid for only a short time; if it isn't wiped immediately, it will break through, soak the core, stain, and peel.

Benefits include

1. The WPC and SPC Cores. These cores (which stand for "wood plastic composite" and "stone plastic composite") are technologically advanced and won't peel or ripple, no matter how much water there is or for how long. Add it to vinyl which, in itself, is waterproof, and you have powerful moisture protection.

2. Style. It has all the design options of LVF, including images of wood, stone, and tile, taken with 3D photography, micro beveling, and embossing to add texture and dimension. Like LVF, it can be cut into planks to mimic hardwood or groutable squares for stone and tile echoes, making it ideal for any room in the house, including living and dining spaces and bedrooms. We all know that toppled glasses and overturned cups can happen just as quickly in those rooms as kitchen appliances or bathroom shower floods.

3. Stain proofing Since it can’t absorb and soak the core, it can’t stain (or peel or ripple).

4. Durability. While luxury vinyl is three to five times thicker than standard sheet, this version is thicker and more robust.
